Fettercairn Gala Day is on Saturday June 6 from 1.30pm It will be opened by Mrs Janet Buchanan-Smith whose late husband The Hon. Alick Buchanan-Smith was the local MP. But there is a week of partying and entertainment to get through before then!

This year is the 125th anniversary of the town’s Public Hall, so there is a Victorian theme with a fancy Dress competition for both adult and children as well as the usual Show and games. The fundraising target is an ambitious £2,000 so they need everyone’s help. If you are not a bowler and don’t fancy soaking a teacher, then there is prize bingo on Monday, Songbook Melodies on Wednesday, and duck race on the Thursday.  But watch out for low flying wellies as everyone practices for the competition!
